walk in support of catholic education!
2020 Virtual Soles for Catholic Education Walk - Saturday, October 17 | 10 a.m.
Your donation stays at the Catholic school of your choice!
Although we won’t all be walking together on October 17, the Soles for Catholic Education Walk still provides a day for all Archdiocese of Milwaukee schools and parishes to celebrate Catholic education, build community and raise much-needed funds that remain at each school.
Each school will make the decision whether to walk together on their school or parish property on October 17th, or encourage their walk participants to walk in their own neighborhoods or even around their homes.
Walkers from each school are asked to raise money to help their school reach their fundraising goal. The money raised by each school will receive a proportional match from the sponsorship dollars donated by our wonderful Walk Sponsors. The percentage of matching funds each school receives will be based proportionally on how much the school raises compared to how much is donated by sponsors. Help your school raise money to get more matching funds. The maximum amount of the match per school is $5,000.
Check with your local Catholic school for their Soles Walk schedule on October 17.
Virtual Soles Walk Social Media
We can't wait to see your photos and videos! Walkers from all Archdiocese of Milwaukee Catholic schools are encouraged to share their Soles Walk pictures and videos on social media. Use the hashtag #SolesWalk
In order to save costs, we will not be printing t-shirts for this year's Soles for Catholic Education Walk. We encourage walkers to wear t-shirts from previous year's Soles Walks.
Virtual Stuff the Bus Shoe Collection
Join us as we challenge you to virtually "Stuff the Bus!" Last year's "Stuff the Bus" service project was a tremendous success as we collected over 5,000 pairs of shoes for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Schools will once again collect all types and sizes of gently-used shoes for distribution to southeastern Wisconsin St. Vincent de Paul stores. St. Vincent de Paul clients need shoes for interviews, work, school and for everyday use.
Each school will be responsible for bringing the shoes they collect to their local St. Vincent de Paul location.
